Very pleased with the construction, fit, comfort and performance of this helmet. The speed lock is really helpful. A great value in a half helmet.

I read in a motorcycle magazine some time ago that some helmet makers just slap the DOT sticker on a helmet regardless of whether it’s up to snuff or not. So I don’t know exactly how much protection this helmet provides, but in any case it’s better than nothing.Having said that, I really like this helmet. I quit Harleys after four of them and prefer a maxi-scooter now (more fun), and this is the perfect helmet for me. It’s extremely light and comfortable and even looks good. I had to do some fiddling to adjust the straps to my liking, but once that’s done the ratchet buckle makes it extremely easy to use with no more fiddling—quick on and off. It would be great if the lining were removable, but that’s not to be expected in a helmet costing less than $50.I ordered the XL size, which I usually wear, and it fit me perfectly—snug but not too tight. I sort of forget I even have it on. The inside shape is medium oval, which fits most heads. Because it does have some padding (actual protection), it is a little higher on top than the “novelty” (non-DOT) helmets that some riders wear, but it definitely doesn’t have the mushroom look. I also like the polo-style visor, which provides a little help in bright sunlight without looking goofy.

Nice basic helmet, light weight, DOT approved, snug fit with nice easy release chin strap. I measured my head at 24 inches. I ordered an XLG and it’s a perfect fit.

Really comfortable, low profile design, quality materials, fits great around the head, but with chin strap at shortest length there’s still an inch gap so helmet lifts over 50mph. Going to size down and see if that helps, despite L having correct circumference.

This helmet is soo worth the money, it looks epic !! I love it for back road cruising. My girlfriend has a “name brand” from crazy Al’s and it’s EXACTLY the same for less than half the price. Im sure microdot, crazy Al’s, beanie helmets & the other brands are made in the same factory. This one is the most comfortable by far. I have a pretty fat head, I wear an 7 3/4 – 7 7/8 and I’m glad I bought the XXL. Fits like a glove, doesn’t pull off my head at speed.

This is a simple, lightweight, brain bucket. My regular helmet gets hot and I sweat a lot. The sweat gets into my eyes and stings which makes hard to see and is uncomfortable. I went looking for an open face helmet. They all look bulbous, which makes sense for safety. The guy at the local shop recommended a similar version of this but I didn’t want black. I got the grey version and like it. It was a third of the cost from my local shop, not sure what brand that one was. The chin strap releases the same. I did have to trim the strap and melt the end to keep it from fraying. I also modified the strap pad provided to make fit tight around the strap. It’s comfortable, doesn’t dig in to my chin or throat. Overall I’m happy.

Fits well and not big and bulky

This is a great helmet, great fit with nice padding, I’ve had about 8 helmets and this is my favorite.
