   Material is soft and pliable and still fairly thick, should provide decent slide protection. Went for a ride as soon as I got them. 45° F and between the leather and thermal lining I was quite warm and did not feel the wind at all at 70+ MPH. Covered boots well too so no air leakage there. 6’1″ 170lbs 32in waist and I got the medium. Adjusted rear closure as small as it goes and still had plenty of belt left in front to adjust even smaller. I don’t recommend going a size smaller because the chaps’ legs are a bit small if you’re wearing loose fit pants or boot cut jeans with the extra material. You gotta tuck jeans in and wrap around legs to get zipped. After first couple rides I’m quite impressed. Quality, rivets, and stitching seem solid so far.

   I did have to cut the length to size, as suggested and known when purchased. Easy to do. With a box cutter, the slice was smooth and even. After one whole season, the seam where I made the cut has starting to unravel and creep upwards. This happened because cutting to lengthy cut that seam thread. I will simply re-sow and tie off the thread.Otherwise, I have had no trouble with the chaps. I’ve used them in hot, cold, dry and wet weather. They keep me “warmer” than having cold air strike my legs directly, and I have not experienced being too hot with them on in the summer. The part of my pants protected by the chaps stayed dry during a brief rain.The grommets are thin, and will bend, sometimes scratching my fingers/hands along the back of the belt. They easily bend back in shape, but also easily bend out and can sang skin and clothing. I wouldn’t expect the heaviest duty grommets to come on a pair of chaps this cheap. But if you ware looking for value and need to save money, this has turned out to be a great pair of chaps.I have not dropped my bike nor had to scrape along the pavement in these, so I can’t speak to how they will hold up when coming off the bike. But I feel much better protected with them on than only wearing jeans or dress pants to work.

   These are better quality than I was expecting. They are also insulated with a zip out liner. I git the extra small and they are a but big but very adjustable. They are very comfortable. One thing thought is the dye does rub off a bit. I used Leather New to help with the color rubbing off and it seems to have helped. I’m sure this will dissipate as I wear them. I’m using them as horse riding chaps and they work well. The circumference of the thigh is more than generous as I have thinner legs.

   Why did you pick this product vs others?:100 percent true to size.Last pair I ordered from another company, ran small. So I decided to try a size larger. Love the loose legs. Waist is to big. But I will make them fit.Really like that it has insulation that is removeable.Very comfortable.

   These are decent quality. The sizing was way off and one of the pockets wasn’t sewn. I didn’t have time to reorder for this upcoming 3400 mile ride, so I have to sew the pocket and the belt to make them smaller but they’re extra baggy as well. Since I have to make alterations, I won’t be able to return them either.

   great quality thick leather,removable liners.constucted very well with great stiching. the pockets on chaps are deep with room for cell phone ,keys .can’t see having to buy another pair for years .

    Mit der Zustellung gab es Probleme aber Amazon hat sich dafür entschuldigt. Die Caps ist soweit ok wie Beschrieben und sogar mit einem herausnehmbaren Futter gefüttert. Ich bin zufrieden.
